Sri Periyanachi Amman is worshipped as a powerful form of Shakti. Devotees believe she protects families, removes obstacles, and grants courage, prosperity and wellbeing.
For about 150 years the temple at Kottaiyur in the Yelagiri Hills has drawn families who hold her as their kuladeivam. Her presence is deeply felt across the village and the hills.
ஸ்ரீ பெரியநாச்சி அம்மன் சக்தியின் வலிமையான வடிவமாகப் போற்றப்படுகிறார். குடும்பங்களைக் காக்கும் காவல் தெய்வமாகவும், துன்பங்களை நீக்கி செழிப்பும் தைரியமும் அருள்பவராகவும் அம்மன் விளங்குகிறார்.
150 ஆண்டுகளாக கொட்டையூர் – ஏலகிரி மலையில் அமைந்துள்ள இத்திருக்கோவிலுக்கு, அம்மனைக் குலதெய்வமாக வணங்கும் குடும்பங்கள் தரிசனத்திற்கு வருகின்றனர்.
